Job Description
Individual seeking to hire someone to be her Direct Support Professional. We are seeking someone who can work up to 30 hrs a week, this may include nights and weekends. Must be able to drive long distances in all sorts of weather. Would like someone who has some experience in this field and good computer skills. You will be applying to work with one specific individual who lives in Oneida, Ny but will also have times when her family is involved. Would appreciate someone who knows the DSP Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Looking to hire 1- 2 people to work up to 30 hrs a week. You will need a car and a driver's License, as you will be using it with the individual. Some of your responsibilities may include helping the individual budget/shop, taking her to things in the community such as church, grocery shopping and different activities she may want to be part of. There will be times you may need to travel with her for her work or family goals. Starting rate is $ 22 an hr. we are looking for a responsible driver. please be comfortable with having a dog ride in your car cause at times her dog may be along for the ride for things such as vet appts and family outings. (She is an emotional Support animal in training) Please have some knowledge of Epilepsy. Your schedule will be flexible as you will only work when she needs you.
