Competitive; based on experience and OPWDD guidelines Job Summary Seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a high‑functioning adult male in the community. He enjoys TV, movies, gaming, sci‑fi, and pop culture , and thrives with someone who shares similar interests. This role focuses on social engagement, community outings, and building independence. Responsibilities Provide community‑based support (movies, bookstores, game shops, cafés) Encourage social confidence and communication skills Assist with routine‑building and independent‑living skills Support creative interests (sci‑fi, gaming, media) Offer light coaching around organization and planning Promote safe and positive online engagement Collaborate with family and follow support plans Qualifications Experience supporting adults or neurodivergent individuals (preferred) Interest in TV, movies, gaming, sci‑fi, comics, or pop culture Patient, upbeat, and comfortable with community outings Reliable, consistent, and professional Valid driver's license preferred Ability to pass OPWDD‑required background checks Ideal Candidate Someone who enjoys connecting through shared interests, communicates well, and supports independence while respecting personal autonomy.
