We are looking for an young, engaging, and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability who is located in the city of Syracuse, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing independent living skills and accompanying him to recreational activities in the community. The individual loves writing, reading, seeing live music, cooking, and singing. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate!
Hours:
Mondays/Wednesdays open availability, has some availability on other days as well.
Pay rate:
$20/hour starting, additionally $.70 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location:
Syracuse, NY Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency Must have a valid driver's license Must be at least 18 years old Effective communication and organizational skills required. Flexibility with assignments and schedule required. Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
