We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the highest levels of care, professionalism, and consideration for the individuals and communities we support. Why Work Here? Position We are currently hiring for weekend DSP positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday First-shift opportunities Second-shift opportunities Awake shifts Immediate placement available Additional PRN hours may be available for team members who want additional hours Requirements - Must Have Applicants must meet the following requirements: Current Medication Administration Certification (Med Cert 1) Must have a current Med Cert number and be able to administer medications Completion of the initial DODD 8-hour Direct Support Professional training Current CPR certification Current First Aid certification Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass required background checks Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs Ability to complete all required documentation accurately and on time Completion of state-mandated DODD annual training and required recertifications Responsibilities Provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and daily routines Administer medications according to established procedures Support clients with cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, errands, and household responsibilities Provide companionship and support during periods of increased need Monitor and support clients' health and overall well-being Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed Coach and encourage clients with hygiene, household cleanliness, nutrition, independence, and daily living skills Complete accurate EVV clock-in and clock-out for every shift Prepare accurate service documentation and progress notes Maintain compliance with client goals, health and safety requirements, and agency policies Complete additional duties as assigned How to Apply Apply directly through this posting or email info@firststepohio.com.
