This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities or memory impairments. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management. Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and dietary needs of clients. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting care in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals and report any concerns or changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions. Support clients using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Skills Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions promptly. Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of CPR techniques and emergency response procedures. Experience in catheter care and hospice care is beneficial. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require long-term care support. Proficient in cleaning tasks and maintaining a hygienic environment for clients. Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families. Ability to prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences of clients. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about caregiving and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
