Overview Join our compassionate team as a Home Health Aide and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care in their homes. This energetic role offers the opportunity to provide vital support, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for clients across diverse needs. As a Home Health Aide, you will be a trusted caregiver, delivering attentive assistance with dignity and respect, while adhering to home healthcare regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Your dedication will help clients live comfortably and safely within their familiar environments. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote personal hygiene and comfort Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper timing and documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems or medical records Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory care needs, implementing tailored strategies to ensure safety and engagement Facilitate patient transfers using appropriate methods such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while ensuring safety protocols are followed Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe environment in accordance with home health care standards Document all care activities accurately in medical documentation systems while respecting HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care Strong knowledge of medical terminology, home health care assistance techniques, and end-of-life or hospice care practices Proficiency in medical documentation tools for accurate record keeping Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; heavy lifting may be required Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate personal care assistance and foster trustful relationships Knowledge of home health regulations, HIPAA compliance, and best practices for maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality Experience working within home health agencies or long-term care settings; familiarity with hospice or palliative care is advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your caregiving skills directly impact lives. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
