Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP)/ Residential Care Workers (RCW) to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them in daily activities and promoting their independence. Looking for 2nd shift (2pm- 10pm) employee: part-time (32 hours) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. and every other weekend is required. Responsibilities Provide assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, facilitating community involvement. Implement individualized care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth. Observe and document changes in clients' behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Exchange important information with the Home Supervisor and with the correct departments (i.e. medical concerns to the Medical Department) regarding issues about the clients. If DSP/RCW is State certified in the Medication Administration, they will administer medications as ordered by the physician and in accordance with the Ohio Administrative Code located on the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities website. Will maintain a safe and clean environment for the clients. Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by the Home Supervisor. Must attend meetings arranged by the Administrative Staff. Must participate in on-going training. Training is mandatory and must be excused. Must complete documentation properly and honestly as trained. Ensure confidentiality of the clients and their records in the home. Designated driver RCW's for the company will transport clients to appointments, activities, etc. as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Home Supervisor and/or Administrator as necessary. Must be able to physically assist clients to stand. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities would be preferred but not required. Previous experience as a caregiver would be preferred but not required. Qualifications and Education Requirements A high-school diploma or equivalent is required. RCW's must be able to read and write the English language. Pass background check.
