Role:
Extol Haven Homecare LLC is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Mentor, OH! In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals by providing personalized care and support that empowers them to thrive in their daily lives.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with developmental, physical, or intellectual disabilities Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately Assist clients with community integration, social activities, and recreational outings Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for clients
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts
