Position Summary The Direct Support Specialist provides hands‑on support, daily living assistance, and community engagement for individuals receiving services. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, dependable, and passionate about making a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities Personal Support — Assist with personal care, meals, medication administration/assistance, household tasks, and transportation. Daily Living Skills — Support individuals in building independence at home, work, and in the community. Behavior Support — Promote a positive, proactive environment and help prevent challenging behaviors. Documentation — Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports, financial logs, and service documentation. Housekeeping — Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment. Communication — Collaborate professionally with families, coworkers, medical providers, and community partners. Medical Appointments — Schedule, transport, and accompany individuals to appointments; prepare required documentation. Training & Development — Attend required trainings and assist with onboarding new staff. Flexible Scheduling — Work across multiple sites based on individual needs.
