Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description Angels for
Elders Home Care Position Summary:
Angels for Elders is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Home Health Aides (HHAs) in-home care services to clients in their homes. The HHA will assist clients with activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed. Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, and tidying living areas. Assist with medication reminders. Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as assigned. Monitor and report changes in a client's condition or environment. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided. Follow client care plans and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous caregiving, HHA, STNA, CNA, or related experience preferred but not required. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check. Negative TB test (required before employment). Ability to lift, bend, and assist clients as needed. Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Supervision:
This position works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and designated supervisors. Employees are expected to follow all care plans, company policies, and instructions provided by supervisory staff. Why Join Angels for Elders?
