Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Provide specialized care for individuals with cognitive disabilities through tailored activities and behavior management techniques Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident outings or appointments while adhering to all transportation safety regulations Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and ensuring proper infection control practices Implement resident's rights policies by respecting privacy, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in community activities Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments in group home or home care environments Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as manual handling or safe patient lifting are advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members while respecting resident's rights Join us to build a rewarding career where your compassion fuels positive change!
