Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Team Lead/Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and age-related conditions such as dementia and geriatrics. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Duties Lead and supervise direct support staff to ensure high-quality care delivery aligned with individualized care plans. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities. Support residents during meal preparation Conduct routine safety checks, maintain cleanliness of the care environment, and adhere to infection control standards. Use electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation of care activities, incidents, and progress notes. Drive residents safely in standard passenger cars for appointments or community outings while maintaining compliance with traffic laws. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or residential care homes supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities. Valid CPR and First Aid certifications; additional training in medication administration preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments in group home or home & community care environments. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation; experience operating a vehicle for client transportation is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and collaborating with team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities required for resident support. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.50 per hour
