• This employer is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including group homes and home care, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As an HCA, you will play a vital role in delivering direct support, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication skills and building a rapport with clients.
• A compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on enhancing the well-being of those you serve.
• Utilize a smart phone app for charting and clocking of shifts
• Utilize an insured personal vehicle, and holding a valid drivers' license
• Fluency in English

PREFERENCES

• Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in senior care settings is preferred.
• HS Diploma/GED preferred

JOB DUTIES

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation.
• Engage with clients through meaningful conversation and companionship.
• Document patient progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to health and safety protocols.

HOURS Typically operating on a Monday-Friday standard business hours schedule, but to accommodate client needs, we also like to hire individuals who are open to weekend and evening work. Weekly hours for a new hire often starts at around 10-15, but over time we build up our home care aides' schedules with additional client hours as able, typically reaching around 20-35 weekly.

• Employer has clients throughout the Portland Metro Area and will match employees with clients within a reasonable commute distance as much as possible.
