Full Job Description Job Summary:
Oregon Provider is seeking a professional, organized, and supportive Mentor to guide and support new Direct Support Professionals during onboarding and throughout their first 90 days and beyond. The Mentor plays a key role in training follow through, compliance oversight, documentation review, communication, and helping mentees succeed while maintaining agency standards, professional boundaries, and quality client support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide weekly mentor meetings with assigned mentees during their first 90 days, then continue meetings biweekly or monthly based on need and progress. Meetings must be held by Zoom or in person, with Zoom meetings recorded using approved transcription methods. Review schedules, overtime and travel pay, Daily Progress Notes, ISP trainings, client concerns, employee concerns, medical updates, and whether Incident Reports or Vital Communication Reports are needed. Help identify training needs and communicate them to the appropriate team members. Support mentees in understanding expectations, documentation, compliance, and agency procedures. Document mentoring interactions in BambooHR notes and client logs. Report shift refusals immediately and ensure mentees are directed to the proper WhatsApp groups for communication. Participate in conduct and compliance meetings alongside leadership. Follow all reporting procedures related to incidents, client concerns, medical changes, and schedule updates. Assist new mentees with first day support, including arriving early, helping with clock in, and introducing them to the client. Attend weekly in person Mentor meetings with the Agency Director.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of professional boundaries and workplace expectations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to guide, coach, and support employees in a professional and accountable manner. Experience with documentation, compliance, scheduling review, and employee support preferred. Ability to respond appropriately to concerns and follow chain of communication. Comfortable using Zoom, BambooHR, scheduling systems, and team communication platforms.
