Job Overview Youth Care Specialist Pay:

Multiple locations throughout Central and Eastern Pennsylvania Position Summary The Zemenla Group is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Youth Care Specialists to provide direct care and supervision for adolescents in a structured residential setting. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about mentoring youth, promoting positive behavior, and creating a safe and supportive environment. Youth Care Specialists play an important role in helping young people develop life skills, maintain daily routines, and achieve personal goals while ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to youth in a residential environment. Build positive, professional relationships while serving as a mentor and role model. Monitor activities and maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment. Assist with daily living activities, routines, meals, recreation, and educational programming. Complete accurate documentation and incident reports as required. Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members. Utilize de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills when necessary. Transport residents as assigned. Attend all required orientation and paid training. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience working with youth, behavioral health, residential care, education, security, or human services is preferred. Ability to pass all required background clearances, drug screening, and pre-employment requirements. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Preferred Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Excellent observation and documentation skills. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
