This role includes traveling to clients' homes and transporting clients into the community, so a dependable car is required. If you do not have reliable transportation, this role is not a fit. About Us Alana Milans Care is a Philadelphia-based provider supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism in their own homes and communities. We deliver person-centered services under Pennsylvania's ODP waiver programs, and we are growing our team of dependable Direct Support Professionals. Who You'll Be Supporting You will work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism in their own homes and out in the community. Your role is to support each client's independence, safety, and daily goals in a way that respects their choices and dignity. Patience, reliability, and genuine care for the people you support are essential. About This Role As a Direct Support Professional, you help clients live full, independent lives. That means supporting daily routines at home, building life and social skills, and helping clients get out into their community. You will travel to clients' homes and transport them to appointments, activities, and errands as part of their plan. Responsibilities Assist with daily living activities and personal care as outlined in the client's plan Support skill-building, community participation, and social engagement Transport clients safely to appointments, activities, and errands Encourage independence while ensuring health and safety at all times Follow each client's individual support plan and respond appropriately to their needs Complete accurate visit documentation and electronic visit verification through AxisCare Requirements (Non-Negotiable) Reliable personal vehicle in good working condition Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and current auto insurance Willingness to travel to clients across the service area Additional Qualifications 18 years or older Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently without an on-site supervisor Patient, respectful, and comfortable supporting individuals with disabilities Physically able to assist clients as needed (bending, lifting, standing, supporting mobility) Must complete all required ODP clearances before start: Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI fingerprint-based clearance Why Join Alana Milans Care Flexible assignments that fit your availability Meaningful work helping individuals with IDD and autism live independently Supportive team and clear expectations
