Job Description

The Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Prosocial Services work one-on-one with adults diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities, to help them learn health maintenance, independent living, and community participation skills. This includes facilitating social, recreational, leisure, volunteer, and health related activities, among others. DSPs are responsible for planning community activities, transportation to and from activities, supporting participation in those activities, and coaching specific skills related to their client's goals. You must be energetic, engaging, and willing to participate in the community activities that the person you serve enjoys. For example, walking trails for exercise, going to movies and museums, playing sports, shopping, and many other activities. Applicants must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma. 2 years experience in the field is required.
Pay:
$19.50 - $22.00 per hour
