Job Description

Home Instead is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to provide non-medical support helping seniors live safely and independently at home. Responsibilities include companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal care assistance, and transportation to appointments or errands. You'll follow personalized care plans, observe and report changes in client condition, and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization Provide medication reminders according to care plans Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation Offer transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities Follow individualized care plans and document services provided Observe, report, and communicate changes in client condition to supervisors Collaborate with families and the care team to support client independence Required Skills Personal care assistance Safe transfer and mobility support Meal preparation and basic nutrition Light housekeeping and sanitation Medication reminders Client observation and reporting Documentation and record-keeping Infection control practices Time management and scheduling Use of basic home care equipment
