NEW KENSINGTON, PA - Direct Support Professional for ODP Services

Job Summary:

AmeriBest is looking for compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide and care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Location:

NEW KENSINGTON, PA and the surrounding areas As a DSP, you will be responsible for assisting individuals to live as independently as possible and to access their community. Must have the ability to transport client from their home into the community.

Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation and planning, medication reminders. Support individuals in accessing community resources and participating in community activities. Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals. Document daily activities and behavior observations Assist with behavior intervention plans as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Ability to work flexible hour, including evenings and weekends. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
