We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide essential 2:1 support for a 27-year-old nonverbal young man in his home and community in Bangor, PA. This is a critical position focused on maintaining health, ensuring constant safety, and maximizing the quality of life for a bright individual who relies entirely on his care team.
Schedule and Pay:
Monday - evening hours Per Diem shifts Starting at $22.58 / hr Responsibilities Support with ADL's and transferring Taking the client out into the community to engage in desired activities Provide transportation to desired activities in the community Daily Living Support (ADLs) Facilitate activities that supports the individuals desired outcomes Implement strategies to promote independence and self-direction Safety and Engagement Requirements Experience working with individuals who are non-verbal Experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities Being comfortable and familiar with seizure protocols At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism, or in a related field Willingness to undergo necessary clearances A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
