The DSP will assist with feeding, hygiene, and assist individual with achieving their goals. They will assist individuals with attending community outings to include transportation.

(3) 12-hour shift & (1) 6-hour shift
Shift A:
Sunday
- Tuesday 8 AM
- 8 PM and Wednesday 8 AM
- 2
PM Shift B:
Wednesday 2 PM
- 8 PM and Thursday
- Saturday 8 AM
- 8
PM SHIFT C:
Sunday
- Tuesday 8 PM
- 8 AM and Wednesday 8 PM-2
AM Shift D:
Thursday Morning 2 AM-8AM, Thursday evening 8 PM-8 AM and Friday-Saturday 8 PM
LOCATION
Northampton, PA PAYRATE:
$18 per hour
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the development and implementation of individual service plans. Oversees and assists the individuals in the completion of their personal care, shopping, social and recreational activities, and transportation services. Reports observations of resident involvement in the daily record. Maintains residence, vehicle, and equipment in a safe, functional, and secure manner. Assists the individuals in the expression and fulfillment of their needs within the guidelines established in the facility policies to provide growth and self-sufficiency. Provides crisis intervention strategies as prescribed in the policies and procedures for treatment/support, as necessary. Responds in accordance with policies and procedures for handling emergency situations. Participates as a team member in supervisor, staff, and team meetings. Supports and follows all policies and procedures, as well as complying with all applicable state regulations. Attends in-service education programs, conferences, or continuing education to maintain current knowledge of developments within the field. Manages relationships with individuals, visitors, families, and staff by responding promptly to inquiries with tact and sensitivity. Demonstrates a courteous, cooperative, and positive attitude, maintaining strict standards of confidentiality and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
- Required Experience working individuals with disabilities, or behavioral health settings (not required).
Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed. Possess the ability to pursue individuals, and to participate in, and supervise individual's recreational activities. Daily activities may include walking with the individuals.
