POSITION SUMMARY
The Enhanced Direct Support Professional (Enhanced DSP) provides advanced, high-acuity direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in compliance with Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) regulations and HCBS waiver requirements.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide person-centered direct support aligned with each Individual Support Plan (ISP). Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and apply approved de-escalation techniques. Support individuals with complex medical, behavioral, or communication needs. Complete accurate service notes, EVV entries, and incident reports per ODP standards. Serve as a role model and support resource for DSP team members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED (minimum) Prior IDD direct support experience Ability to pass all ODP-required background checks

) NADD Competency-Based Clinical Certification NADD Competency-Based Dual Diagnosis Certification NADD Competency-Based Direct Support Professional Certification Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Registered Nurse Aide (RNA) Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Bachelor's Degree or higher in: Psychology Education or Special Education Counseling Social Work Gerontology Therapeutic Recreation
ENHANCED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Positive Behavior Support Crisis Prevention / Intervention (CPI or equivalent) Trauma-Informed Care Health Risk Management (HRM) ODP Incident Management and Abuse Prevention COMPENSATION and
PAY STRUCTURE
Enhanced DSP rates apply only to hours worked while performing enhanced duties, as specifically listed in the offer letter. All non-enhanced hours will be compensated at the standard DSP rate in accordance with FLSA blended-rate requirements.
