REQUIREMENTS

Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Be 18 years of age or older. Obtain all clearances as required to meet regulatory compliance. Attend the 8-day new hire onboarding training (all training is paid).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CAREGIVER, DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

: Feed, bathe, dress, and provide all personal care for individuals. Record all necessary information, observations, and daily progress notes. Accompany and transport individuals on various social, recreational, work, shopping, meal preparation activities, and medical appointments. Be a positive role model to individuals, neighbors, and the community regarding behavior, dress, and respect for others. Help and support the individuals in managing day-to-day activities. Transport the consumers in Agency and personal vehicles when needed. Responsible for implementing emergency treatment and life-saving techniques to the extent training and Agency protocol allow. Responsible for the care and upkeep of facilities. Required to administer medications to residents following completion of the Agency's Medication Administration Training Program.

DSP DOES NOT HAVE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
