Stable Family & Children Services LLC Rate:
$25 per hour Position Overview The Community Ambassador serves as a direct support professional providing mentorship, homemaker assistance, and transportation services to families and youth. This role is vital in promoting stability, independence, safety, and overall family functioning within the community. Community Ambassadors represent Stable Family & Children Services LLC with professionalism, integrity, and compassion while adhering to Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) standards and company policies. Core Responsibilities 1. Mentorship Provide structured, strength-based mentorship to youth and families. Support emotional intelligence development and healthy decision-making. Reinforce coping skills, respect, boundaries, and life skills. Model appropriate communication and problem-solving techniques. Document progress in Case Management Pro (daily notes and monthly reports as required). Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and DCS as needed. 2. Homemaker Support Assist families with maintaining a safe and sanitary living environment.
Provide hands-on instruction in:
Cleaning and home organization Meal planning and preparation Laundry routines Budgeting basics Establishing structured routines (bedtime, homework, chores Promote long-term sustainability rather than dependency. Monitor and document home safety concerns 3. Transportation Services Transport youth and families to: School Medical appointments Court hearings Therapy sessions Employment Community-based activities Maintain vehicle logs (odometer readings before/after trips). Ensure vehicle safety checks (fuel, oil, cleanliness). Follow company vehicle policies and immediate reporting procedures. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during transport. Qualifications Must pass DCS-compliant background checks. Must meet Indiana state employment requirements. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for transportation duties). Ability to maintain accurate documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to a drug-free workplace. •
