Job Description

Family Service Association has two Full Time Family Support Specialist positions available in Howard County. Healthy Families is a voluntary, home visiting program that provides education, support, and case management to low-income families with young children ages 0 - 3 living in Howard, Tipton, and Clinton counties to promote supportive environments that optimize child growth and development and encourage resilient, healthy families. The Family Support Worker establishes a trusting relationship with at-risk families by initiating and maintaining regular client contact through home visiting services. Family Support Workers will increase the bond between parent and child by providing resources, support, encouragement and celebrating successes .
Duties:
The Family Support Worker provides education and support to families with young children.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
Requirements include: experience in working with or providing services to children and families, knowledge of infant and child development, regular local travel, proficient with technology, good writing skills, knowledge of community resources, good listening skills and compassion . •Must be able to pass DCS background check .•' '
Work Location:
Home visits are conducted in the family home. Documentation may be completed in the office or remotely.

From $15.00 per hour
