Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
- Lead DSP is responsible for performing and coordinating various aspects of client care and program operations. Key responsibilities include conducting regular check-ins with clients and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), maintaining progress notes, Medication Administration Record Sheets (MARS) support, and providing on-call support for providers when needed. Additionally, DSP Leads will assist Area Directors in their duties as needed. The DSP Lead will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to both clients and team members.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. DSP
Supervision:
First line supervision for DSPs. Attend weekly ongoing check-ins with Area Director. Review DSP shift entries. Conduct ongoing check-ins and regular follow-ups with DSPs. Ensure required documentation is completed (ex. Progress notes, Desired Outcome, MARs etc.). Medication Administration Records (MARs) support. 2.
Client Care needs:
First contact when DSPs calls out - communicate to Area Director and help prioritize if multiple call outs. Conduct ongoing quarterly check-ins in person or by phone with clients and their guardians. Read and maintain progress notes and desired outcomes. Ongoing communication with clients/families/service coordinators/personal agents. Track communication with clients in communication log. Provide on-call support for DSPs and Clients when needed for urgent coverage gaps. Ensure hours worked/needed are in compliance with OARs. 3.
General Responsibilities:
Attend company events within proximity. Assist Area Director as needed. Volunteer - minimum of 4 hours, maximum of 8 hours of mandatory paid volunteer hours per year.
Pay:
$27.00 per hour
