Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Evenings & Weekends Foley, Alabama $13/hour Part-Time Paid through Alabama Medicaid Waiver (Acumen) Are you dependable, compassionate, and looking for meaningful part-time work?

I'm a professional photographer, artist, and educator who uses a power wheelchair. I'm looking for someone reliable to join my caregiving team and assist me with my evening and weekend routines so I can continue living independently and pursuing my career. No prior caregiving experience is required. I will provide paid training to the right person. This position is an excellent opportunity for nursing students, pre-med students, occupational therapy or physical therapy students, healthcare workers seeking additional hours, or anyone who enjoys helping others live independently. Schedule Weeknights 7:00 PM

10:00 PM Weekends 9:00 AM
11:00 AM 7:00 PM
10:00 PM Additional shifts may become available over time.

Responsibilities Safe transfers using a Hoyer lift Personal hygiene and bathing assistance Dressing and grooming Bathroom assistance, including bowel care when needed Preparing simple meals Light housekeeping Evening routine and getting settled into bed Helping maintain a clean, organized, and respectful home environment Qualifications Reliable transportation Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy Comfortable providing personal care Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions Authorized to work in the United States Must successfully complete Acumen's background check before employment No experience is necessary. The qualities I value most are kindness, reliability, patience, and a willingness to learn. About Me I'm an internationally exhibiting fine art photographer whose work has been shown at museums and galleries throughout the United States and internationally. I work from home and maintain an active professional career, so I'm looking for someone who is respectful, professional, and enjoys supporting another person's independence.
