) UCPRI is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our Adult Program as a Direct Support Professional;
LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THE MEDICALLY NEEDY
; Direct Support Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist clients with their activities of daily living including, but not limited to, personal hygiene, medication administration, housekeeping, and preparing/serving meals Develop and assist with relationships within the community to establish social connections, community connections, and relationships Ensure that the clients are receiving proper care by adhering to their individual plan of care Assist with general health Maintain a safe environment Assist in developing and carrying out goals Provide transportation as necessary Follow UCPRI policies and procedures Maintain certifications and trainings Complete mandatory paperwork as required
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to use hands to handle object, tools, and controls. Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Ability to stand, walk and sit May be required to lift/transfer 50-70 lbs alone, or occasionally up to 200 lbs with the assistance of other staff. All Direct Support Professionals will receive comprehensive training, including UCPRI medical policies/procedures and CPR/First Aid.
