Overview of DSP Position As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide hands-on support to adults with disabilities in a group home setting while also encouraging participation in creative and therapeutic activities including music, art, recreation, and community involvement. This is more than a caregiving role — it's about building relationships, supporting independence, and helping create a safe, engaging, and uplifting environment. Responsibilities Support individuals with daily living skills and personal goals Assist with cooking, cleaning, medication administration, hygiene, and routines Encourage independence and community participation Participate in music, art, recreational, and creative activities alongside residents Help maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming home environment Transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities as needed Complete documentation and communicate effectively with team members Build respectful, supportive relationships with residents and coworkers What We're Looking For Positive attitude and dependable work ethic Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented personality Flexible and willing to jump in where needed Interest in creativity, music, art, or therapeutic programming Experience in human services or caregiving is helpful, but not required Valid drivers license and dependable transportation required High School Diploma or GED required Why Join Our Team?
