Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care in various settings such as home care, assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, and hospice environments. Your energetic and caring approach will foster independence, safety, and comfort for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in your community. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure safety during movement Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide high-quality personal care Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly enhance the quality of life for those in need.
