Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitor patient health, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support patients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met Observe and document patient condition, behavior, and response to treatments or interventions Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safe transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation practices Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times Support patients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and dementia care techniques Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Assist with transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid or CPR skills when required Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan adherence is advantageous Experience in patient observation, caregiving for seniors or individuals with disabilities, and working within HIPAA regulations is beneficial Certifications such as CPR and first aid are preferred but can be provided upon hire for qualified candidates Prior experience involving heavy lifting or the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts is a plus This position offers an enriching environment where caregivers can develop their skills while providing compassionate support tailored to each individual's needs.
