Job Summary Hours are 8/8:30am-1/1:30pm M-Thurs 8/8:30-2/2:30pm Friday We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient personal care, with experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and respectful environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and observe patients for changes in health status, documenting vital signs and reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Help with being support when the client has seziures Prepare nutritious light meals tailored to individual dietary needs, Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to sanitation standards. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful and engaging atmosphere. Assist with patient transportation within facilities or community outings, ensuring safety at all times. Support families and caregivers by providing education on patient care routines and safety protocols. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality.
