Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Monitoring and documenting overall health status of clients. Providing person served care in accordance with established care plans while respecting resident rights. Supporting individuals in community integration through social activities and outings. Implementing strategies to promote independence and skill development for individuals with disabilities. Administering first aid as needed and ensuring a safe environment for all clients. Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles. Skills in patient monitoring and understanding of vital signs. Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergencies.
