Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide exceptional in-home care to clients across diverse needs. In this vital role, you will assist individuals with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and comfort. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with patients, supporting their health and well-being in the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any abnormalities promptly Support medication administration following prescribed instructions while maintaining accurate medical documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Assist with mobility and transfer methods using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during movement Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care activities thoroughly and accurately Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment for clients Adhere to home healthcare regulations and safety protocols while providing high-quality home health care assistance Requirements Proven experience working as a Home Health Aide or in assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care settings is highly preferred Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training Ability to work with geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as Alzheimer's or dementia Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with patient transfers safely using proper methods or equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid driver's license preferred if transportation is required for client visits Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Join our team if you're passionate about providing compassionate home healthcare that empowers clients to live comfortably and independently.
