Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to persons with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or other health challenges. This role involves supporting residents in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a caring environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals Administer medications following prescribed care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations Support persons during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning tasks Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed Follow safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures. participate in ongoing training for emergency response Skills Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Familiarity with persons with autism or developmental disabilities Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility challenges Excellent communication skills Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and empathy Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans Basic cooking skills for meal preparation. Relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable/training will be provided This role is vital in fostering a supportive environment where persons feel valued, safe, and empowered to maintain their independence. We seek caring staff members committed to providing exceptional patient-centered support.

$15.58 - $17.00 per hour
