- Part-time, PRN Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team as Floaters/PRN staff.
In this vital role, you will provide flexible, high-quality care to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism and other health conditions. Your energetic and proactive approach will ensure persons supported receive personalized care in various settings such in-home ADL assistance and community-based environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while gaining valuable experience across multiple care settings. Responsibilities Deliver direct support to supported persons by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Monitor health status through vital signs checks, observation, and person centered under supervision Support residents with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, cleaning duties, and safety procedures Assist person supported mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or personal assistive devices; perform heavy lifting when necessary Document care plans, incident reports, and person served progress accurately while respecting HIPAA privacy standards Engage person supported in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in assisted living environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support Certification in CPR and First Aid; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for protecting patient information Ability to observe and report changes in residents' condition accurately; experience with vital signs monitoring and patient observation Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment; experience with home health or home & community care preferred Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Physical ability for heavy lifting, assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Join us as a Floaters/PRN Direct Support Professional and become an essential part of a caring team dedicated to enriching lives through compassionate support.
