Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in accordance with their individualized care plans
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Skills:
- Experience in childcare, senior care, or direct support is preferred
- Ability to prepare meals and assist with feeding as necessary
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation purposes
- Familiarity with systems such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond in emergency situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors in a calm and compassionate manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional certifications or training)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
