Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an Angel Wings Hospice Aide, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. In this vital role, you will provide personalized patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support comfort and dignity through specialized hospice services. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes quality of life for individuals receiving hospice care. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering empathetic, patient-centered support. Duties Observe and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, noting changes in condition or behavior. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting. Administer medications and treatments following medical documentation protocols and under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, and other vital signs measurement tools. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), documenting patient interactions and medical information clearly and thoroughly. Assist with meal preparation, feeding assistance, laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment to promote home & community care standards. Support hospice care goals by providing emotional comfort, companionship, and respite for family caregivers. Follow infection control procedures including catheter care, wound management, and medication administration while adhering to safety protocols such as CPR certification. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Experience Prior experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home health or long-term care settings. Familiarity with EMR Consolo systems and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of medical terminology related to hospice care, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and memory support strategies. Experience in providing personal care services such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or catheter care are a plus. Previous work involving home & community-based services or live-in employment enhances your candidacy. Join us in delivering compassionate hospice support that truly makes a difference!
