In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in various settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, safety, and dignity for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing to a supportive community focused on quality care. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing personalized care plans and engaging in therapeutic activities Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and manual handling procedures, including the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Assist with patient transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure safety for both the resident and caregiver Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities Experience supporting residents with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities in long-term care settings Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely and effectively; manual handling skills are essential Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents' families, and social workers Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
