In this role, you will assist individuals with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their comfort and safety. Your energy and empathy will help create a warm, respectful atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for every day. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities while working in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence Assist with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health needs are met Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance mental well-being Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely during transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Document resident care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and report any changes in condition promptly Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills to effectively support residents' needs and collaborate with team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus.
