In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable environment where clients can thrive. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in our community. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Administer medication following prescribed schedules and safety protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Practice safe patient lifting and manual handling techniques to prevent injury for both clients and caregivers Maintain a clean, organized environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory support strategies Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' independence and quality of life
