Administrator Position Summary The Home Health Aide / Supervisor (Initial Assessment Specialist) is responsible for providing direct client care while also completing initial assessments, supervising caregivers, and ensuring quality and compliance of services. This role combines hands-on caregiving with leadership responsibilities to support both clients and staff. Key Responsibilities Direct Client Care Provide non-medical personal care services to clients Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation Provide meal preparation and assistance with eating Perform light housekeeping and laundry Offer companionship and emotional support Provide medication reminders (no administering) Initial Assessments & Client Onboarding Conduct in-home initial assessments for new clients Evaluate client needs, safety risks, and home environment Develop individualized care plans Complete all intake and required documentation Educate clients and families on services and expectations Supervision & Staff Support Support and guide caregivers in the field Conduct follow-ups, reassessments, and quality checks Address client and caregiver concerns Assist with training and coaching staff as needed Coverage & Scheduling Support Step in to cover client shifts when needed Assist with staffing gaps or call-outs Ensure continuity of care for all clients Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation Ensure compliance with HHSC, VA, and agency policies Report incidents, concerns, or changes in condition promptly Qualifications Experience in home care or caregiving required Experience completing client assessments preferred Strong understanding of non-medical home care services Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Ability to provide both direct care and supervisory support Skills Needed Strong communication and interpersonal skills Leadership and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and in the field Compassionate, professional, and dependable Work Schedule Flexible schedule with the ability to complete assessments and work client shifts, including evenings or weekends as needed.
