Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (IDD) and become a vital part of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide personalized support, foster positive behavior, and promote community engagement. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism and behavioral health needs, in various settings such as homes, community centers, or day programs Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence Implement behavior management strategies and support positive behavioral health through personalized interventions Support communication efforts using techniques like American Sign Language or other augmentative communication methods Collect and document data on progress, behaviors, and service outcomes accurately for ongoing care planning Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to safety guidelines Drive individuals to appointments, community activities, or recreational outings safely and responsibly Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is highly valued Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members Ability to perform caregiving tasks with compassion and patience in diverse environments Knowledge of behavior management techniques and data collection methods Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for transportation responsibilities Familiarity with medication administration procedures and home & community care experience is a plus Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Minimum age of 18 years old Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Active automobile insurance required Reliable transportation and willingness to transport individuals served to appointments, community outings, and activities Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, and holidays (as needed) Ability to pass criminal background checks and required screenings
