Job Description

MRC's PineCrest is Lufkin's premier continuing care retirement community. We are currently seeking PRN Resident Care Assistants to work all shifts.
The Resident Care Assistant will:
Administer the care of residents under the supervision of licensed staff and assists professional nursing staff by performing routine tasks in the care of residents Assist residents in adapting to changes that may occur due to illness and normal processes of aging Use one-on-one and group relationships to facilitate participation in activities, support interest, develop and sustain capacities and adaptive skills of residents Lead and coordinate various types of activities and programs for the residents Assist in the development and implementation of care plans With a 60-year history of success, MRC has over 1000+ employees and is growing! High school graduate or equivalent is desired. Two years of resident care experience, preferably as a hospital or long-term care nursing assistant. Must have a working knowledge of basic patient care procedures. Basic computer skills. Models MRC's ICARE Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
