A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. They can care for patients in their homes or other healthcare settings, and may perform basic medical care under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. These roles typically require more comprehensive agency-approved training programs.
I am a 42-year-old F with muscular dystrophy living in Northwest San Antonio next to UTSA needing help with my personal care including meal prep, personal care/grooming, some light housekeeping, transferring with a ceiling hoyer lift. Additional hours available sometimes to assist with transportation-driving my wheelchair accessible van to accompany to errands and outings on occasion. •
Note:
Current week day morning caregiver moving to 4 days a week so looking for a caregiver for 1 day a week preferably Wednesday OR Thursday OR Friday 8:30am-12:30pm. Also there may be opportunities for additional shifts if interested, but not required, if current staff ask off in advance or when they have an emergency or illness and not able come in for their 8:30am-12:30pm shift. Applicants do not need to be available 7 days a week to apply, but state on your application or by Indeed message what days of the week you are available around 8:30am-12:30pm or if your availability during that time varies for the week. (Sometimes hours past 12:30pm with advance notice for additional hours if interested and available, but not required) Slightly flexible with schedule, like needing slightly different hours like staring at 8am, etc.

this job involves helping someone with very limited mobility with their daily care and requires a moderate amount of stamina and physical abilities to perform essential job functions that include lifting, pushing, or turning about 25 lbs, bending, squatting, gripping, being on your feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to pass HHSC's criminal background check, valid ID for an ID9 check, and at least 18 years old. Must be prompt and reliable. Must have reliable transportation to & from work. Must be vaccinated and boosted for
COVID-19.
Required to wear high quality (kn95 or n95 equivalent) well fitted mask during shift, which I provide at no cost.

Pay:
