In this role, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities and various other needs. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients by assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence in a safe and supportive environment. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle is required for this role. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client, ensuring their preferences and goals are met. Monitor and document individuals' progress, behaviors, and any changes in their condition. Engage clients in social activities and community involvement to promote socialization and interaction. Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Skills:
Previous experience in working with individuals with disabilities or special or behavioral needs. Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices. Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to safety protocols. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to lift and assist clients as necessary while maintaining safety protocols. A compassionate approach toward working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring specialized support. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
