Full Job Description Please Note:

This position does NOT include overnight hours We are seeking a reliable and compassionate male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a high-functioning young male with disabilities . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful, one-on-one work and helping individuals thrive in their daily lives and community. Requirements Must reside in Virginia Ability to pass a background check Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Ability to stoop, bend, stand, and lift as needed High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred:

2+ years experience in In-Home Services or supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Available Schedules Weekday Options (choose one): Monday-Friday | 9 AM to 6

PM Weekend Option:

Saturday | 10AM to 5PM Hours per week:

Part-Time:

20-29 hours

Full-Time:

30-40 hours

Pay Frequency:

Bi-weekly or twice monthly Position Overview The DSP provides direct care and supervision , ensuring the individual's safety, well-being, and progress toward personal goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP). You will support daily living skills, promote independence, and facilitate community engagement in a respectful and supportive manner. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision to ensure safety and well-being Assist with daily living tasks and personal care as needed Observe and report changes in behavior, health, or physical condition Document daily activities and progress notes Support development of positive habits and appropriate behaviors Transport individual to appointments, community activities, and recreational outings Provide companionship, encouragement, and supportive listening Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Respond appropriately to emergency situations Ideal Candidate Traits Dependable and reliable Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working independently Achievement-driven and motivated Creative and adaptable in problem-solving Benefits Flexible scheduling Paid orientation and training Paid sick time and paid time off Mileage reimbursement Referral bonus program
