In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for residents across various care settings. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the community. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, recording vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to meet individual dietary needs Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident's lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's) or memory care needs Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills such as CPR and first aid certification required or obtainable upon hire Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in patient care settings Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using appropriate equipment Previous roles involving hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities will be considered advantageous Join us in delivering exceptional personal care that enhances lives through dedicated service!
