Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals as a PCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Gives personal attention to the sick, disabled and aged to help provide and maintain physical and emotional comfort, and to assist the individual towards independent living. Has empathy for the needs the ill, elderly, injured, frail and impaired. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs of the individuals. Enables the ill, disabled, frail and/or aged person to remain in his/her own home, among familiar surroundings Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning duties and sanitation practices. May be required to bend, stoop, reach, lift and /or carry up to 30pounds. Document care activities, patient observations, and any incidents clearly and promptly in compliance with healthcare standards. Experience At least 1 year experience as a PCA Must be free from health problems that may be injurious to patient, self and co-workers and must present appropriate evidence to substantiate this. Must understand and respect the patient, including ethics and confidentiality of care. Equipment operation Hand washing materials Required PPD Test report Must have a current criminal clearance that satisfies the agency, local, state and federal statutes.
