Job Description

Alleghany Highlands Community Services provides services and support to individuals in our community with behavioral health challenges and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role of the Day Support Program Provider is to provide skill-building opportunities and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will evaluate individual's need and goals, develop and implement a schedule including integrated day activities, adhere to the person centered plan, maintain records and communicate effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma/GED (required) Valid Driver's License (required)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with assessing and evaluating the individuals needs by identifying what is "important to and for" the individual Planning and implementing meaningful activities to address the identified needs by supervising and supporting individuals Offer skill-building opportunities to include developing skills in problem solving, fine and gross motor, personal care, social and environmental awareness, health and nutrition, communication, activities of daily living, positive behaviors and use of community resources
